College Medical Center Phoenix is seeking an Employee Health and Infection Control Nurse to develop, implement, and manage comprehensive infection prevention and employee health programs in alignment with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

The role collaborates with our vendor (AIMS) to ensure compliance with ADHS, CDC, OSHA, and related requirements, while providing specialized wound and ostomy care to promote optimal healing and patient outcomes.

Qualificações

• Arizona LPN or RN license required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
• Minimum one year of Employee Health or clinical setting experience; advanced MS Office proficiency.
• A Level One Fingerprint Card required.
• CPI Certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Conducts employee health assessments, screenings, and brief health consultations; refers to physicians or EAP as needed.
• Provides minor first aid, manages needle-stick and exposure follow-up, and orders labs per protocol.
• Administers immunizations, performs fit testing, and assists with health and immunization clinics.
• Maintains confidential employee medical records, logs, reports, and QA data.
• Coordinates scheduling, communication with HR, and general administrative support for Employee Health.

Job Summary

College Medical Center Phoenix is seeking an Employee Health and Infection Control Nurse. This position will develop, implement, and manage comprehensive infection prevention and employee health programs in alignment with hospital policies and regulatory standards. The role partners closely with our contracted vendor (AIMS) to ensure ongoing compliance with ADHS, CDC, OSHA, and related requirements. Responsibilities include facility-wide surveillance to identify, investigate, and document healthcare-associated infections; initiating infection control measures; and leading infection prevention in-services and staff education across the hospital. The role also provides specialized wound and ostomy care—assessing, treating, and helping prevent complex wounds as a WOCN/CWOCN, promoting optimal healing and patient outcomes.

Job Qualifications

• Current Arizona LPN or RN license
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required
• Minimum one year of experience in Employee Health or a clinical setting, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs
• A Level One Fingerprint Card is required
• CPI Certification required within 30 days of hire

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for CMC Phoenix roles, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices, etc. The posted compensation for the position is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay that CMC Phoenix in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting
