A healthcare provider in California is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to manage Employee Health Programs. Responsibilities include administering medications, conducting health screenings, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience in Occupational Health, with a current California LVN License and BLS Certification. This role offers competitive pay ranging from $42.66 to $48.79 per hour along with a comprehensive benefits package.
Under the general supervision of an Employee Health Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner and/or Medical Director, the Employee Health Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) operates under the LVN scope of practice. LVN is responsible for the health and safety of all employees by facilitating the Employee Health Programs which include first aid care, conducting medical surveillance and health screenings, and promoting a safe work environment. Performs other related duties as required.
NOTE: The following are the duties performed by employees in this classification. However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification.
Preferred Education: Associates or Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
Preferred Experience: Employee Health or Occupational Health experience in a hospital or healthcare environment. Compliance or Infection Control experience strongly preferred.
Required Education: Graduate of an accredited LVN Program.
Required Experience: One year of recent experience as a LVN required in one or more of the following areas; (1) Employee Health (2) Occupational Health (3) Emergency and or Urgent Care (4) Acute Ambulatory care.
Required Licenses/Certifications: Current California LVN License/BLS – Basic Life Support Certification – issued by AHA – American Health Association, Phlebotomy Certification.
Preferred Licenses/Certifications: Phlebotomy Certification
Pay Range: $42.66 - $48.79 / Hour
The pay range for this position reflects the base pay scale for the role at Alameda Health System. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, departmental equity, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and the operational needs of the organization.
