Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is seeking an Employee Development Specialist to plan, design, and implement targeted training initiatives for staff through workshops, seminars, and coursework.

The role emphasizes identifying training needs, preparing reports, and scheduling programs across the facility. A BA/BS in Human Services or AA with relevant experience is required, along with background checks and, when applicable, driving credentials.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Human Services or AA and three years’ experience in Human Services or IDD.
  • Pre-employment screening includes background checks (OIG, Child Abuse Registry, Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities), drug testing, education verification and references.
  • Driving may be required; proof of driver's license, insurance, and vehicle if transportation is needed.

Responsibilities

  • All other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assists in planning, designing, and implementing specialized training to be used toward advance training for employees in the form of workshops, seminars, and/or coursework
  • Assesses, in cooperation with other staff, the training needs of staff at all levels within the facility
  • Prepares written reports and provides for testing of employees enrolled in courses
  • Ensures that required staff training opportunities are scheduled as needed/required.
  • Provides training and the coordination of training for all staff
  • Identifies, recommends, and prioritizes training needs for staff in addition to required training
  • All other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree in Human Services area or an Associate of Arts degree and three years of experience in Human Services or equivalent to three years’ experience working in IDD
  • Pre-employment screening: Complete criminal background Name checked in the registries. (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities) Drug testing Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements. Proof of employment history or references (if required)
  • Positions that require driving Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.
