Role Summary

The Splunk Employee Communications team aims to inspire, advise, and enable Splunkers worldwide. This role involves supporting the global employee communications efforts to increase awareness and engagement around organizational transformation, business strategies, and initiatives.

What you'll do

• Partner with GTM and Product leadership to define and implement internal communication best practices.
• Collaborate with the global employee communications team to align messaging, timing, and editorial strategies.
• Create engaging content for intranet posts and homepage updates weekly.
• Translate company culture and brand into in-person and virtual employee events.
• Manage projects for virtual and in-person meetings, town halls, and Q&A sessions.
• Communicate change management initiatives, including reorganizations and system updates.
• Develop and evolve communication channels for effective top-down, peer, and bottom-up communication.
• Balance planned and urgent communications to meet business needs.
• Coordinate with GTM Employee Communications to align activities.
• Prepare, proofread, and edit internal communication materials like presentations, newsletters, Slack posts, and emails.
• Measure and report on communication effectiveness and suggest improvements.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of experience in communications or organizational change, preferably in fast-growing environments.
• Strong attention to detail and planning skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a background in writing preferred.
• Ability to build cross-functional relationships and work with all levels of staff.
• Experience in digital channels like Slack, G-Suite, Zoom, and communication tools like Poppulo.
• Creative, fun, and proactive team players.
