We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Employee Benefits Specialist to join our clients People Services team on a contract basis. In this role, you will manage and administer our U.S. employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Your expertise will guide employees through benefits enrollment, address inquiries, and support the overall well-being of our workforce.

This is a 3-month contract (extensions possible), 40 hr/week, remote role in the USA.

This will be a contractor role to Stage 4 Solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage U.S. employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, wellness initiatives, and retirement plans (401(k)).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, providing timely and accurate information.
  • Collaborate with HRIS and payroll teams to ensure accurate benefits data integration and processing.
  • Conduct benefits orientations and assist employees with enrollment processes.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Coordinate with benefits vendors and brokers to manage plan renewals, changes, and issue resolution.
  • Develop and distribute clear communication materials regarding benefits programs and updates.
  • Support open enrollment processes, including system testing, employee communications, and data audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in employee benefits administration, with a focus on health, welfare, and retirement plans.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. benefits regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Workday HRIS and benefits administration platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex benefits information clearly.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
