Job summary

C3 Risk & Insurance Services is seeking a Client Manager (Small Group) to oversee relationships with small group clients and coordinate marketing strategies with Producers and CE team. You will help identify coverage opportunities and manage renewals while maintaining high service standards for clients and producers.

You will train teammates, review quotes with partner agencies, and ensure accuracy of policies and enrollments.

Qualifications

• Client Manager experience in small group benefits is preferred.
• Experience renewing marketing, placement and policy delivery to producers and clients.
• Strong communication for presenting renewals and enrollment presentations.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for small group clients and build strong relationships.
• Collaborate with Producer and CE to understand client needs and strategies.
• Support producers in securing new business by reviewing coverage and benchmarking.
• Train and mentor team members to develop skills and knowledge.
• Oversee marketing, negotiate rates, and review quotes with GA partners.
• Prepare proposals and summarize marketing results with Producer/CE.
• Notify carriers/vendors of client decisions and ensure correct placement.
• Review policies, contracts, and summaries for accuracy.

• Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of expertise and experience, you are skilled at ensuring the seamless execution of new and renewal marketing, placement, and policy delivery to both producers and clients.

• Exceptional at managing expectations and ensuring that deadlines are met with internal team members, carrier/vendor partners, and clients.
• Your ability to service accounts is outstanding, and you know that quality is key. Your attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and math proficiency are just some of your best traits.
• Excellent and strong communication skills, essential for presenting renewals to clients and delivering open enrollment presentations to employees, with the ability to provide non-technical explanations of technical matters and summarize and present information in a clear, concise, and accurate written and verbal format.
• You're also a quick learner, and technology is your friend – you usually know all the shortcuts and what you don’t know, you learn quickly.
• You have an active Life & Health license. If you have a college degree, that sends you to the top of the list, but it is not required. If you have an insurance designation, that is even better!
• As a proactive and analytical individual, you understand the importance of a positive attitude and being a team player.
• You're always ready to step up and take on new duties when necessary.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

THE JOB

A Client Manager (Small Group) contributes to C3’s success by performing the following tasks on behalf of the Small Group Employee Benefits team:

• Act as the primary point of contact for small group clients in your book, building strong relationships with them and ensuring their satisfaction with our services.
• Collaborate with Producer and Client Service Executives (CE) to understand client needs, prepare marketing strategies, and identify opportunities for additional coverage.
• Support producers in securing new business opportunities with existing clients by reviewing current coverage lines and evaluating whether adjustments are needed based on benchmarking or salary.
• Train and mentor team members to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
• Conduct or oversee marketing efforts, negotiating rates, reviewing quotes and coverages for competitiveness and accuracy with our General Agency partners.
• Summarize marketing results and prepare proposals for clients in partnership with Producer/CE.
• Ensure carriers/vendors are notified of client decisions (even when they don’t win the coverage) and oversee the correct program placement.
• Review policies, contracts, EOCs, and summaries for accuracy and ensure clients receive them.
• Work with Producer to keep clients up-to-date on important compliance and legislation.
• Prepare and renew the Benefit Administration Solution and Employee Benefit Kits for year-round offerings, working with the General Agency Partner as necessary.
• Assist clients with administrative or employee issues when needed.
• Maintain client files in Agency Management System, Applied Epic.
• Audit invoices at the beginning of the year to ensure accuracy.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $75,000 to $95,000. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
