Job summary

World Insurance Associates in Wisconsin is seeking an experienced benefits consultant to lead client service for middle and large markets, collaborate on renewal messaging, and advance strategic plan design. The role handles assigned books with significant EB revenue and engages in vendor and carrier negotiations.

You will support RFPs, prepare financial analyses, and present insights using EB tools. A life/health license and a bachelor’s degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Understanding of fully insured, level-funded and simple self-funding concepts.
• Ability to identify trends in data and inform health plan decisions.
• Project management experience coordinating with carriers, vendors and SMEs.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills with analytics tooling knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage client strategy planning and contribute to program and coverage recommendations.
• Support RFP processes, carrier negotiations and carrier contract reviews for insured clients.
• Build benchmarking, dashboards, projections and analytics to present insights.
• Lead client and vendor meetings, conduct enrollment sessions in person or virtually.
• Create and edit enrollment communication templates and articulate value of EB experts.

Position Summary

• With some guidanceand ordirection,leadsclient service for middle market clients, and supports large market clients often collaborating closely with senior colleagues on strategy design and renewal messaging.
• Clients are often fully insured, or level funded with 50 to 250 enrolled EEs, and generate $25k or more in EB revenue.
• Independentlyleads ona few key clients and/or small clients, including renewal messaging.
• Assigned book between $700K to $1.2M in EB rev.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage client strategy planning and contributesto program and coverage recommendations.
• Supports RFPprocess,carriernegotiationsand carrier contract reviews for fully insured clients typically between $25k to $100k in revenue.
• Build using EB tools andtemplatesbenchmarking, financial dashboards, projections, and other financial analysis andassistin presenting insights and recommendations.
• Lead client and vendor meetings and calls (such as Carrier implementation) andconductingknowledgeable and engaging open enrollment meetings (both in-person and virtually).
• Create and edit open enrollment communicate templates
• Communicate the value of WIA EB Subject Matter Experts andknowingwhen to engage them.

• Take and resolve calls/emails from clients andormembers, related to claims, billing,EOBand coverages

• Understanding offully insured, level-funded, and simple self-funding concepts.
• Identifyingtrends and patterns in data sets and understanding their implications for clients’ health plans.
• Project management skills in collaborating with colleagues, carriers, vendors, and SMEs to deliver on client service plans.
• Excel and PowerPoint, with developing knowledge and application of EB analytics tools, models, and capabilities.
• Effective communicator, tailoring writing and speaking styles to convey messages and ideas to varied audiences to build understanding and commitment.
• Developing knowledge aroundvendor/solutions/products outside of traditional insurance products.

People Management

• Individualcontributor;may provide general guidance/direction to more junior staff informally.

Professional Licenses/Certifications

• Must hold state life and health insurance license

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred, but equivalentwork experience would be considered

Physical Demands

Office work involves working at a desk most of the time, using a stand-up/sit-down adjustable desk. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of forcefrequentlyto lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Typing, grasping, and repetitive motion typically isrequiredevery day, and walking and standing arerequiredoccasionally.
