Our client is a midsize employee benefits brokerage looking to refine and enhance its positioning in a competitive marketplace. They are seeking a senior advisor with deep expertise in the employee benefits ecosystem—particularly health insurance—to support narrative development, value proposition articulation, and strategic differentiation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise on positioning, differentiation, and messaging for a midsize brokerage’s health insurance offering.
• Provide insights on industry trends, buyer personas, and competitor approaches (Aon, Marsh, Willis, etc.).
• Help define value propositions that will resonate with HR and procurement leaders at mid-to-large employers.
• Guide the refinement of marketing narratives and proposal content.
• Participate in strategic working sessions with the internal client team.

Qualifications:

• Experience working at or advising one of the major health insurance brokers (e.g., Aon, Marsh, Willis, Gallagher).
• OR Held decision-making responsibility for employee benefits at a large employer.
• OR Led multiple strategic sourcing initiatives for health insurance and employee benefits.
• Strong understanding of the brokerage landscape, purchasing behaviors, and key differentiators in the market.
• Ability to translate complex industry knowledge into compelling and actionable strategy recommendations.

Start: Mid-July

Duration: 6 weeks

Time commitment: 5-10 hours per week

Location: Remote

Expected range: $150-200 per hour
