Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Large Group Employee Benefits Account Manager to join our growing team! As the Account Manager, you will ensure the delivery of exceptional service to clients and prospects by acting as their primary contact and actively managing their accounts. You will collaborate with our Producers to ensure overall client satisfaction with their employee benefit offerings and handle clients’ day-to-day needs.

Work Arrangement: This is a fully remote position supporting our office in Melville, NY. Computer equipment will be provided upon hire.

Professional Responsibilities:

  1. Partner with clients to identify their long-term employee benefits goals and develop strategic plans to achieve them.
  2. Plan, execute, and drive benefits plan renewals with Producers to ensure timely renewals.
  3. Assist with daily client needs promptly.
  4. Negotiate annual renewals with carriers, select renewal plans, and perform other renewal functions as needed.
  5. Present clients with options to enhance their benefits packages, including voluntary benefits and cross-selling opportunities.
  6. Ensure smooth implementation and transition processes for carrier changes, communicating major issues or changes.
  7. Manage renewal checklists and meet with Producers to discuss timelines.
  8. Conduct employer presentations via phone, webinar, or in-person in a professional and informative manner.
  9. Assess client understanding and feedback during meetings, adjusting approaches accordingly.
  10. Identify and resolve problems quickly, meeting client expectations with timely solutions.
  11. Respond proactively to potential issues and assist with escalated employee benefit concerns.
  12. Document meetings and contacts in CRM systems to ensure follow-up and communication.
  13. Maintain clear communication within the team regarding client issues, renewals, and proactive work.
  14. Foster positive team relationships, offering encouragement and promoting engagement.

Qualifications And Requirements:

  1. 4-6 years of Account Management experience with self-funded, large groups.
  2. Occasional travel for in-person client meetings.
  3. NY Life & Health license.
  4. Experience with Employee Navigator preferred.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  7. Passion for team-driven success and industry leadership.
  8. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with peers and clients.
  9. Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Pay Range: $80,000 - $90,000, based on experience. Salary offers will be determined through a detailed analysis considering experience, education, certifications, and seniority, in compliance with pay transparency laws.
