Job summary

Mountain West Insurance & Financial Services in Grand Junction, CO is seeking an EB Account Manager to oversee client service and support renewal and new business processes. You will collaborate with the Account Executive and Producer/Adviser to deliver accurate assistance and prompt problem resolution.

The role requires effective communication with clients, internal teams, and external partners, plus preparing RFPs, reviewing quotes, and updating clients on ACA changes using systems like EPIC.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience of 1-2 years in EB Account Management insurance.
• Must hold a Colorado Life and Health Insurance license.
• Ability to thrive in both team and independent work environments.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficient reasoning skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates closely with the Account Executive and Producer throughout the renewal and new business processes.
• Provides day-to-day client service via phone, email, and in-person interactions, anticipating client needs and responding promptly to questions and issues.
• Identifies, anticipates, and troubleshoots problems associated with the client’s benefits program.
• Ensures consistent and proactive communication with clients and internal teams.
• Works closely with Producer/Adviser and Account Executive to ensure retention of existing accounts.
• Prepares small group fully insured RFPs and proposals with minimal guidance.
• Reviews and analyzes quotes, including cost, network, and benefits.
• Creates a summary comparing the available options for the client, incorporating it into the renewal proposal.
• Utilizes internal systems to administer proactive communication and changes (ACA, etc.).
• Efficiently uses the EPIC data management system and attaches necessary documents.
• Prepares open enrollment materials such as HR Connect, Benefit Guides, SBCs, Flyers, etc.
• Communicates and educates clients on the latest industry trends and changes.
