$80,000–$90,000 Base + Bonus (Total Comp Around Six Figures)

About the Agency

A well-established independent agency with over two decades of experience, known for their strong relationships with municipalities and small to medium-sized businesses. Their client base has grown significantly in recent months, and they are looking to add a dedicated Employee Benefits Account Manager to the team to continue delivering exceptional service.

What You’ll Do

As an Account Manager, you’ll be the go-to expert for managing benefits programs for small to mid-sized groups—many of which are municipalities. You’ll handle everything from A to Z, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and client satisfaction. While the producers handle new business, you’ll be the backbone of ongoing account management.

Responsibilities
  • Full-cycle management of employee benefits accounts (no sales)
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, carriers, and internal teams
  • Handle renewals, enrollments, eligibility, billing, and compliance
  • Coordinate with producers on client strategy and meetings
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
Qualifications
  • 2–3 years of experience minimum in employee benefits account management
  • Strong understanding of group benefits for small to mid-sized groups
  • Experience working with municipalities is a plus
  • AMS360 experience is a bonus, but not required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
