Job summary

Methodist Health System is seeking a Benefits Specialist to manage health and welfare programs, analyze plans, and provide guidance to employees and HR teams. You will support data integrity across HRIS, Lawson, and ESS systems, and assist with annual enrollment while delivering training to staff.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of benefits experience, strong Excel skills, and a commitment to confidentiality and professional teamwork within a faith-based healthcare system.

Qualifications

  • BS in Human Resources or Business Administration required or equivalent.
  • CEBS certification strongly encouraged.
  • 3–5 years’ experience administering health and welfare benefits.
  • Experience with ERP transactions and HRIS data quality checks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Health and Welfare benefits expert for associates and resolve coverage issues.
  • Audit EDI files bi-weekly and coordinate with vendors and ERP teams to ensure data accuracy.
  • Produce and manage reporting metrics for all benefit plans and present to Manager.
  • Provide training to new benefit staff on Lawson, ESS, and vendor systems as needed.
  • Assist with annual Open Enrollment and HRIS-related automation changes.
