Job summary

Stony Brook University invites exceptional candidates for a tenure-track position at the level of Associate Professor or Full Professor in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on bioengineering and regenerative medicine.

The successful candidate will lead an independent research program, teach at undergraduate and graduate levels, and contribute to the Institute for Engineering-Driven Medicine (IEDM) while collaborating with RSOM and CEAS to advance translational medical technologies.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) with relevant research training and a demonstrated record of excellence in research, academic credentials, and extramural funding.
• Experience developing novel research approaches and technologies in regenerative medicine and/or bioengineering for translational medical applications.
• Experience collaborating with clinical investigators across departments/institutions, such as the Stony Brook Cancer Center.
• A demonstrated record of excellence in research.
• A demonstrated record of excellence in teaching/mentorship.
• A demonstrated record of excellence in obtaining extramural funding.
