University at Buffalo invites applications for an Associate or Full Professor of Empire Innovation in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics. The role supports the AQuIRE initiative to advance quantum science and technology across disciplines.

The successful candidate will lead an externally funded program in quantum sensing, collaborate with researchers in optics, materials, and information science, and contribute to graduate and undergraduate teaching and mentoring.

Formación

• PhD in Physics or related discipline (minimum).
• Scholarly profile appropriate to rank (associate/full).
• Nationally/internationally recognized scholar with strong external funding or leadership in research.
• Strong teaching experience at undergraduate and graduate levels, with mentoring shown.

Responsabilidades

• Build an active, externally funded research program in quantum sensing.
• Advance UB's quantum materials, optics, and information science efforts through collaboration.
• Lead and mentor students and junior researchers; contribute to teaching excellence.
• Foster interdisciplinarity and collaboration across campus and external partners.
