Artesia General Hospital in Artesia, NM seeks a capable Nursing Assistant/Medical Assistant to support physicians and nurses with basic patient care. You will obtain vitals, perform bedside testing, and assist with oral, perineal/foley care, and simple therapies.

Maintain clean exam rooms, store equipment, manage supplies, and perform light clerical duties to keep the office running smoothly. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and formal nursing assistant or medical assistant training;

Qualifications

• Education – High school diploma or equivalent; plus specialized, short-term training in basic patient care.
• Training – Formal nursing assistant and/or medical assistant training required.
• License/Certification – Certification in Nurse Assisting or Certification in Medical Assisting preferred.

Responsabilités

• Obtain and document patient vitals.
• Perform bedside testing.
• Assist with basic nursing procedures such as oral care, perineal/foley care, non-sterile soaks, or thermal applications.
• Ensure cleanliness of office and examination rooms.
• Clean and store equipment.
• Maintain supply inventory and restock as required.
• Perform basic clerical duties as needed.
