  • Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4-5

Medical Oncology

  • Number of Beds: 18
  • Patient Population: Solid tumors and end-of-life care
  • Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4-5
Role Description:

The RN Clinician Medical Oncology is an experienced healthcare professional responsible for delivering safe, effective, and personalized nursing care based on the AACN Synergy Model. Responsibilities include:

  • Performing thorough patient assessments and developing individualized care plans
  • Documenting care accurately
  • Recognizing learning needs and providing education
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and families
  • Delegating appropriately and functioning in leadership roles when assigned
  • Participating in professional development and quality improvement activities
Minimum Qualifications:
  • BSN from an accredited program and at least 12 months of recent nursing experience, or recent completion of a re-entry program
  • Or ADN from an accredited program with a minimum of 2 years of recent experience
  • Current, unencumbered Georgia RN license
  • BLS certification; ACLS may be required for certain departments
  • Additional certifications as required by department
