Job summary

Siemens Mobility invites motivated students to join its eMobility Internship Program in Atlanta, GA, May 2027 for twelve weeks. You will work on embedded and cloud-connected products and IoT devices, gaining hands-on problem solving in a real-world setting.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a technical degree, familiar with Agile methods, and available full-time on-site. Relocation may be required with housing/mileage support if needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a technical field with progression toward completion.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to work full-time on-site for the internship duration (May–August).

Throughout these twelve weeks, you’ll have the chance to apply the knowledge you have gained in the classroom to problem solve through hands‑on experience in a real‑world working environment. The internship will also provide you with the exposure, network, and practical experience you will need to help discover your own personal version of success and identify your post‑graduation career path.

• Supporting the development of embedded, cloud‑connected products, hardware, cloud computing technologies, and digital Internet of Things (IoT) devices.
• Contributing to projects across functions such as research and development, solutions engineering, applications engineering, manufacturing engineering, and sustainability engineering.
• Applying classroom knowledge and hands‑on problem‑solving skills to real‑world engineering and technology challenges.
• Collaborating with teams while gaining exposure to specialized training, digital tools, customer interactions, and change‑management activities.
• Developing practical experience in a global technology organization while supporting projects that deliver meaningful business and customer impact.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science and approaching completion of the required educational credentials for this opportunity.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work full‑time (40 hours/week) on‑site from May to August.
• Willing to relocate to Atlanta, GA for the duration of the internship and travel as required. Mileage reimbursement and housing stipend will be provided if required to relocate more than 50 miles from your permanent address.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
• This internship is a structured experiential learning program for individuals currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program who will continue their studies following the assignment. Current and continuing enrollment is a condition of participation. Applicants who have completed or expect to complete their educational program before or during the assignment period are encouraged to explore our Early Career Development Program opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Curiosity and enthusiasm for technology, including experience with Internet of Things (IoT) devices through coursework, personal projects, extracurricular activities, or other hands‑on experiences.
• Ability to bridge physical and digital technologies while applying technical and business knowledge in fast‑paced, evolving environments.
• Experience developing, testing, prototyping, or evaluating products, including exposure to Agile or lean methodologies and minimum viable product (MVP) development.
• For candidates with a software background, experience with programming languages, cloud platforms, frameworks, or operating systems such as Python, Rust, Go, C, C++, Linux, Microsoft Azure, or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• For candidates with a mechanical or electrical engineering background, experience with simulation, heat transfer, 3D computer‑aided design (CAD), rapid prototyping, printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) design, schematic review, electronic test equipment, or related engineering tools and technologies.

You’ll Benefit From

The hourly pay range for this position $29.00 - $31.00 per hour, based off of your projected graduation year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
