Job summary

State of Oklahoma's Air Quality Division is seeking an Environmental Programs Specialist in Oklahoma City to manage the emissions inventory process for thousands of facilities.

You'll perform data analysis, quality control, and reporting using SLEIS, WebFIRE, and related tools; provide training and respond to inquiries; and apply state and federal rules to emission inventories in support of the U.S. EPA's National Emissions Inventory.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a physical, natural, or biological science or engineering is required.
  • Level II requires Level I plus 1 year of relevant experience or a Master’s degree.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Lead data collection and quality control for the annual emission inventory of 14,000+ facilities.
  • Provide training and public presentations to industry on inventories.
  • Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person within established timelines.
  • Produce reports/charts from inventory data upon request by other agencies and the public.
  • Become proficient with TEAM, OKEIS, SLEIS, WebFIRE, and EPA emission inventory tools.
