Job summary

Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality in Oklahoma City seeks an Environmental Programs Specialist to support the Air Quality Division’s Emissions Inventory. The role centers on data analysis, inventory production, and stakeholder training, with extensive in-office work Monday–Friday.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree with relevant science hours (Level I) or a bachelor’s plus experience/master’s (Level II). Travel within the state is possible and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Level I requires bachelor’s with 24 sem hours in specified science fields.
• Level II adds 1 year of professional experience or a master’s degree in a qualifying area.
• Applicants must be within 60 days of degree.

Responsibilities

• Perform annual air emission inventory process for 14,000 facilities.
• Provide training and assistance to industry on inventories; deliver presentations.
• Perform quality control on inventories and submit inventories to EPA; estimate emissions.
