Job summary

The Foundation for California Community Colleges seeks an Inspection Assistant to work within the BAR Smog Check Referee Program. This role is 100% in-person at assigned locations across California. You will perform emissions inspections, communicate results to consumers, and assist in various activities.

Successful candidates will have relevant education or work experience and a BAR EO Inspector license. Competitive pay ranges from $18 to $22 per hour, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, retirement plans, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• 1+ year(s) of related work experience.
• BAR EO Inspector license required.
• Some experience performing vehicle smog inspections preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and testing of vehicles for emissions.
• Communicate inspection results to vehicle owners.
• Assist Referee staff with duties as assigned.
