Job summary

Main Street Auto is seeking a skilled General Tire and Lube Technician to join a fast-paced automotive service team in Garner, NC. The role focuses on tire work, oil changes, inspections, and quality customer service, with a schedule typically from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays and 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturdays.

Applicants should be Emissions certified, at least 18, and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

Must be over 18 years old.
Emissions certification required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous tire and lube technician experience preferred.
Proficient tire installation, repair, and oil change knowledge.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting.
Ability to operate shop equipment safely.
Excellent attention to detail and time management.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

Perform tire rotations, installations, and repairs with precision and efficiency.
Conduct oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
Perform basic vehicle inspections and identify potential issues or safety concerns.
Conduct wheel alignments and balance tires for even tread wear.
Maintain accurate service records including parts used and time spent.
Assist customers with tire recommendations and inquiries while delivering excellent service.
Adhere to safety protocols in a shop environment.
