Job summary

Boutique Recruiting is seeking an Eminent Domain Attorney to join its Costa Mesa litigation team. The ideal candidate handles public agency matters, eminent domain, and complex civil litigation, drafting pleadings, conducting depositions, managing discovery, and maintaining direct client relationships.

This position offers hands-on litigation experience, mentorship, and a collaborative work environment, with a compensation range of $125,000 to $190,000 per year, DOE, and hybrid work flexibility

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from ABA-accredited law school.
• Active California State Bar membership.
• 2+ years civil litigation experience; 5–10 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent public agencies in eminent domain, condemnation, and related civil litigation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents, including motions for summary judgment.
• Conduct depositions and defend them; attend court hearings and trials as needed.
• Manage discovery and respond to requests; perform legal research and develop case strategies.
• Prepare cases for trial and coordinate evidence, witnesses, and arguments.
• Maintain direct communication with clients and collaborate with the legal team.
