Job summary

Qualifications

• BS degree in chemistry or a related scientific discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with hazardous materials, analytical chemistry, environmental fate or related areas.
• Working knowledge of GC-MS, LC-MS, and LC-MS/MS analyses.
• Ability to develop laboratory procedures, test plans, and technical reports.
• U.S. citizen eligible for DoD Secret clearance and DEVCOM CBC PRP program.

Responsibilities

• Support emerging threat research as a principal investigator, technical lead, or team member.
• Perform chemical synthesis, instrumental analysis, and controlled exposure tests as needed.
• Analyze samples from vapor, soil, water, and tissue for target compounds and degradation products.
• Prepare analytical standards and support instrument calibration and verification.
• Develop and maintain laboratory procedures, test plans, and program documentation.
• Provide monthly progress reports and communicate with customers and stakeholders.
