Leidos Gibbs & Cox is seeking a Jr. Systems Engineer in Newport News, VA to support programs by coordinating with engineering and design teams to verify, update, and maintain requirements and configuration control documentation.

The role reports to the Systems Engineering Department Manager and is based in the Newport News office. Responsibilities include managing requirements, ensuring changes are reflected in technical documents, and interfacing with Program Managers; eligibility for at least

Formación

BS degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Systems Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of Systems Engineering methodologies including requirements gathering and configuration management.
Knowledge of verification and validation.
Demonstrated collaboration and communication skills working in teams.
Eligible to obtain at least an interim Secret clearance prior to starting employment.

Responsabilidades

Manage requirements and specifications; ensure approved design changes reflected in documentation and shipyard processes.
Communicate with designers and engineering personnel to verify requirements and changes; ensure documentation reflects approved configurations.
Review changes in electrical, structural, and mechanical systems and assess impacts on drawings and configuration records.
