Job summary

Verisk is seeking an Emerging Issues Research Analyst with a property/casualty background to identify and contextualize emerging risks for a professional audience. The role requires translating deep research into clear presentations and reports across underwriting, claims, and product development.

The position demands strong communication, rigorous analysis, and collaboration with subject matter experts across Verisk.

Qualifications

5+ years in the property/casualty market with underwriting, claims, or forms product development experience.
Exceptional presentation and communication skills with executive presence.
Industry accreditation (i.e. CPCU) preferred but not required.
Ability to conduct deep research using academic sources and distill into insurance-relevant presentations and reports.
Solid proficiency of PowerPoint required.
Proficiency with data visualization tools preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
Project management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Ability to set and meet commitments in a high production environment.

Responsibilities

Researching and delivering presentations on emerging risks for a P/C insurance audience—in 1:1 customer workshops (on-site or virtual); at webinars; at industry conferences.
Coordinating research efforts across multiple Verisk business units.
Authoring long-form research reports on emerging risks.
Staying informed on key industry trends.
Contributing to risk identification.
Travel (estimated 15%).
