Responsibilities

• Manage labor costs by evaluating needs against projected sales during the shift.
• Review monthly budget and P&L.
• Promote customer satisfaction to build sales.
• Monitor crew prep, production, and procedures to control costs.
• Track waste and monitor crew position procedures.
• Report issues in sales and profit to GM or DM.
• Assist in executing sales and profits plan.
• Monitor food costs to prevent waste and theft.
• Monitor product quality during shifts by talking with customers during walk-throughs.
• Assess product quality by supervising crew performance and giving feedback.
• Record service times and assess efficiency.
• Train crew to respond promptly to customer needs.
• Train crew in customer courtesy.
• Take corrective action to improve service times.
• Encourage crew to solicit customer feedback.
• Set daily SOS goals and communicate them.
• Train crew to maintain restaurant cleanliness during shifts.
• Follow the cleaning plan.
• Direct crew to fix cleaning deficiencies.
• Train crew on new products.
• Assist GM in training new managers.
• Train crew using orientation and training processes.
• Train new crew in initial position skills.
• Cross-train crew to cover shifts.
• Recognize high performers to GM or DM.
• Follow flowcharts to meet prep and production goals.
• Monitor inventory levels for product availability.
• Complete weekly product inventories.
• Receive weekly food deliveries.
• Maintain security of cash, product and equipment.
• Follow priorities set by GM.
• Ensure standards are followed during shifts.
• Manage shift to 80% Q.S.C. level or better.
• Take action when problems are foreseen.
• Follow Operations manual procedures.
• Maintain safe working conditions per company policy.
• Follow cash-control procedures.
• Report accidents promptly.
• Follow health department procedures.
• Manage shifts using 'Managing Better Shifts' checklist.
• Perform admin duties as required.
• Write crew schedules to meet GM objectives.
• Comply with crew benefits standards if applicable.
• Follow Preventive Maintenance Program.
• Train and monitor crew to maintain equipment.
