Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in Charlotte, NC to oversee estimating, scheduling, procurement and management of assigned projects under master service agreements. You will establish baseline schedules and monitor progress and cost while maintaining strong customer relationships.

The role demands independent work, detailed PM skills, and effective communication with field teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management.
• 2+ years of PM experience in construction (utility preferred).
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office; scheduling software experience a plus.
• Knowledge of project accounting and cost control.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects per Pike policies and procedures.
• Maintain client relationships and trusted partnerships.
• Oversee subcontractors and material procurement.
• Apply change control and risk management.
• Prepare thorough project estimates before construction.
• Provide performance feedback to operations.
• Prepare contract reports for field ops and client.
• Ensure profitability through robust financial controls.
• Support emergency and storm restoration efforts.
