Job summary

Cadmus seeks candidates to support homeland security exercises programs for public and private sector clients, partners, and stakeholders. Successful candidates will support the design, execution, and evaluation of homeland security exercise programs covering a range of hazards, including terrorism, cybersecurity, and natural disasters.

Some domestic travel is likely required for this position. This position is for a proposal effort, and offers will be contingent upon award.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in emergency management, homeland security, public policy, political science, cybersecurity, or related field.
• Minimum of at least two (2) years of professional experience on related exercises or emergency management projects.
• Foundational knowledge of emergency management, homeland security, or exercise planning.
• Strong research, analytical, organizational, and professional writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, follow processes, and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to review and correct one’s own work.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Ability to support occasional domestic travel and U.S. citizenship for clearance.
• U.S. Citizen with ability to earn a favorable Public Trust clearance and/or DHS Suitability.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, design, conduct, and evaluation of Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program exercises.
• Assist with development of exercise objectives, scenarios, meeting materials, and reports.
• Conduct background research and analyze information related to homeland security and exercise topics.
• Coordinate scheduling, participant tracking, document management, and logistics.
• Support planning meetings, delivery, facilitation, evaluation, and after-action activities with stakeholders.
• Capture meeting notes, decisions, actions, feedback, and observations accurately.
• Draft and revise reports, presentations, and client deliverables using templates and style guidelines.
• Perform quality-control reviews for grammar, formatting, and completeness.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and complete tasks on schedule.
