Geosyntec Consultants, a global environmental consulting firm, seeks an Early-Career Geologist or Hydrogeologist for our Pittsburgh, PA office. You will apply academic knowledge to real-world contaminated site assessment and remediation projects while developing business skills for a successful consulting career.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in geology or environmental science, field experience, and the potential to pursue GIT certification within a year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geology, geophysics, geochemistry, or environmental science (required).
• Advanced degree in the same (preferred).
• GIT certification within one year of hire (strongly preferred).

Responsibilities

• Fieldwork such as soil, surface water, sediment, soil vapor, and groundwater sampling; drilling oversight and remediation system operation/maintenance.
• Chemical data and contaminant fate & transport evaluation.
• Groundwater and soil remedy evaluation, cost estimation, and implementation.
• Aquifer testing and hydrogeologic data analyses.
• Groundwater modeling and 3D data visualization.
• Environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting.
• Data analysis, including maps, tables, logs, cross sections, and figures.
• Preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
• Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client sites as needed.
