Job summary

Cherokee Federal in Reston, VA is seeking an Emerging Disruptive Technologies (EDT) Analyst - Mid to join our defense intelligence team. The role focuses on analyzing future technologies, assessing their military applications, and producing actionable intelligence for national security.

An active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Counterintelligence polygraph is required (or the ability to obtain). This on-site position offers competitive salary ($100,000-$107,000) and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex information and identify trends.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex concepts and insights.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction.
• Proficiency in research methodologies and the ability to apply them to multifaceted problems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with teams effectively.
• Familiarity with intelligence collection methods and the ability to drive collection efforts.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to evaluate and challenge differing perspectives.
• Knowledge of defense intelligence processes and products.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and assess future technologies and their military applications by foreign states and non-states.
• Produce assessments projecting the discovery, development, and deployment of advanced technologies and their potential impact.
• Produce assessments on insights into foreign technology developments, trends, and futures.
• Collaborate with all-source analysts across the Defense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE) or IC, and with S&T partners.
• Produce intelligence supporting the production of the National Security Threat Capabilities Assessment and threat assessments for the labor category.
• Communicate understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, and/or technically advanced.
• Structure analysis based on trends in reporting and a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts, organizations, and intelligence disciplines.
• Collaborate and work with other Intelligence Community (IC) members on information sharing, driving collection efforts, and addressing analytic disputes and conflict resolution.
• Develop concise, insightful, and comprehensive products for defense intelligence.
• Lead teams in researching multifaceted or critical problems and provide guidance in selecting, designing, and applying analytic methodologies.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
