Job summary

Batchelor & Kimball, headquartered in Conyers, GA, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support design, pre-construction, and construction phase activities. You will help manage scope, scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and bid processes while coordinating with the design team and subcontractors.

The role emphasizes independent work with minimal oversight, strong organization, and communication skills to ensure projects stay on track and safely delivered. Travel to job sites may be required.

Qualifications

• BA/Associates degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction drawings.
• Working knowledge of project budgeting and pricing of materials and labor.
• 2+ years of construction field experience; may lead projects up to $2.5M.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with estimating and managing construction projects.
• Reviews drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and track bid information.
• Prepare monthly WIP reports and update project databases.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on site.
• Travel to job sites as needed to monitor progress.
• Support customer inquiries and maintain project documentation.
