Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated in Chestnut Ridge, NY seeks a Junior Component Engineer for electronics manufacturing to support component selection, sourcing, lifecycle management, and supply chain risk mitigation.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure component availability, technical compliance, and production continuity, using PLM/ERP systems and data tools. 1–3 years' experience preferred; bachelor's in engineering required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience reading schematics and semiconductor datasheets.
1–3 years in electronics manufacturing, component engineering, sourcing, or quality.

Responsibilities

Research, evaluate, and qualify alternate components for continuity and cost optimization.
Assess datasheets, specifications, and form-fit-function compatibility.
Monitor lifecycle status, supply risks, PCNs, EOLs, and lead times.
Support alternate sourcing, second-source qualification, and last-time-buy activities.
Maintain component data, AML/AVL, and approvals in PLM/ERP systems.
Generate lifecycle, obsolescence, and supply risk reports.
Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality to implement changes.
Support ECOs, document control, and regulatory compliance.
