Job description

Triage Veterinary Assistants are a key team member in day-to-day operations of the clinic.Triage technicians are responsible for:* Obtaining patient history* Assisting during emergency/critical care situations* Recording notes and vitals on SmartflowAssisting the doctor on duty during the physical exam* Aiding in animal restraint* Collecting specimens for lab testing* Running lab tests as directed by doctor on duty* Invoicing patient procedures and appointments (out-patient)* Filling/ re-filling patient prescriptions as directed by doctor on duty* Cleaning exam rooms following every exam* Creating accession forms for labs to be sent out* Maintaining steady laundry flow* Maintaining a clean pharmacy area* Presenting treatment plans to clients (estimates)* Continue processing/ autoclaving surgery instruments as necessary.* Processing payments/ deposits* Walking, feeding, and medicating boarders* Checking in and putting away inventory ordersTriage Assistants will also see technician appointments during the hours of 8a-4pfor laser therapy, anal gland expressions, nail trims, suture removals and any otherappointments that do not require an exam by the doctor on duty.Benefits:* Health Insurance / Dental and Vision* Paid time off* Simple IRA Retirement with matching* Opportunity for advancements* Opportunity for Bonuses* Company scrubs* Three free annual wellness visits and % off discount on services

Requirements/Responsibilities
Qualifications:The ideal candidate for this role will have a flexible schedule, preferably haveindustry related experience (at least 1 year), and will have a minimum of a highschool diploma. The ideal candidate for this role will have availability for 8pm -8am shifts, 3 days a week. However, being open 24/7, we have several varying shift times.Skills Required:* Excellent written and communication skills* Ability to learn quickly in a high-volume and fast-paced environment* Experience within veterinary industry or similar field preferredSchedule Requirements:Full time or part time positions available.To be considered you must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work someweekends and holidays.
