As a Veterinary Technician Manager, you will...

1. Demonstrate advanced proficiency as a Veterinary Technician or Advanced Patient Care Associate, maintaining all related skills and knowledge.
2. Create effective working relationships with hospital leadership to ensure standards of care are understood, communicated, and delivered.
3. Serve as a subject-matter expert and resource regarding daily operations, patient care, and skill development.
4. Mentor staff by demonstrating positive work habits, effective clinical skills, and business knowledge.
5. Identify conflicts in the workplace and seek assistance to resolve them, fostering effective working relationships.
6. Coach staff to promote a culture of high performance and productivity.
7. Communicate clearly with team members about new ideas, protocol changes, and policies.
8. Build positive relationships across the hospital and administration to facilitate teamwork.
9. Implement process improvement initiatives.
10. Coordinate with the Technician Training Manager for ongoing staff training.
11. Document performance issues, assess team members during annual reviews, and provide recommendations to hospital leadership regarding performance management and discipline.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
