Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Framingham, MA seeks an experienced Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our brand new hospital. Schedule is 3-12 hour swing shifts (9am-9pm) with competitive hourly pay and attractive shift differentials.

This role includes anesthesia induction/monitoring, triage of emergencies, radiography, critical vitals assessment, CPR readiness, IV access, meds administration, and mentoring of staff. A path for growth and specialty credentials is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Licensed veterinary technician with experience in emergency care.
• Ability to monitor anesthesia and assist in surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia with equipment.
• Triage emergency cases and monitor vitals.
• Perform digital radiography with correct patient positioning.
• Interpret vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes.
• Initiate CPR for arrest risk patients.
• Administer medications and calculate dosages.
• Place IV catheters and manage venous access.
• Mentor and train co-workers.
• Demonstrate empathy to address client concerns.
