Job summary

Capital Veterinary Specialists in Jacksonville, FL, part of Thrive Pet Healthcare, is seeking an Experienced Veterinary Technician for emergency coverage. You’ll provide end-to-end care for our patients, assist with procedures, and support the veterinary team.

You will work days or overnight shifts on three 12-hour shifts, grow professionally through ThriveU CE resources, and join a collaborative hospital family focused on excellent patient care and client service.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience in an emergency or specialty setting.
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative veterinary team.
• Excellent communication with clients and colleagues.
• Demonstrated commitment to high-quality animal care.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality care and educate clients.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures as permitted.
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient flow.
• Communicate health concerns and Thrive Membership options to clients.
• Follow safe restraining techniques and keep areas clean.
• Mentor and support fellow team members.
