This position combines clinical emergency work with direct leadership of our ECC and Urgent Care associate doctors. The right candidate will bring strong emergency experience, sound clinical judgment, clear communication, and a genuine interest in supporting the professional growth of others.

  • Support doctor onboarding, mentorship, performance development, and ongoing education
  • Partner with specialists, nursing leadership, and hospital leadership to strengthen patient care and team collaboration
  • Balance ECC floor shifts with dedicated administrative time

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced emergency doctor who is ready to grow into, or continue growing in, a leadership role while staying closely connected to clinical medicine.

Why CCVS?

  • Collaboration with multiple specialists across numerous services
  • Rotating and ECC internship programs
  • Established ECC and surgery residency programs
  • A strong technician training and continuing education culture
  • A team that values mentorship, communication, accountability, and high standards of care

CCVS is also in an exciting period of growth. Our hospital expansion is on track for completion by March 2027 and will significantly increase our clinical footprint. The expansion will also support the addition of three new departments, Neurology, Ophthalmology, and Dentistry, as well as the addition of MRI, fluoroscopy, and an increase in the number of specialists in our established services.

Required Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent
  • Eligibility for Massachusetts veterinary licensure
  • State and federal DEA licensure
  • Internship trained and/or at least 3 years of small animal emergency experience
  • Hands-on ECC experience, including overnight emergency work
  • Prior management, supervisory, mentorship, or leadership experience strongly preferred

  • Short-term disability paid by employer
  • Long-term disability options
  • $25,000 complimentary life insurance, with voluntary options available
