Madison Veterinary Specialists in Monona, WI, a 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital, seeks an experienced Emergency Veterinary Assistant to support doctors and technicians. You will triage emergencies, assist with treatments, diagnostics, and anesthesia, and help CPR and patient stabilization.

Qualifications

• More than 1 year of experience as a veterinary assistant.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (ImproMed).
• Ability to triage and communicate patient status clearly.

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming emergency patients and communicate status to veterinarian.
• Facilitate outpatient appointments, assist with treatments and diagnostics.
• Admit hospitalized patients with accurate documentation.
• Assist with emergency procedures, anesthesia, CPR, and stabilization.
• Maintain clean, stocked treatment areas and provide client updates.
• Prioritize multiple patients in a fast-paced emergency setting.
