Madison Veterinary Specialists is a 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital seeking an experienced Emergency Veterinary Assistant. You’ll triage, assist with treatments, admit patients, and help with procedures while maintaining documentation and client communication.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year as a veterinary assistant and experience with ImproMed software, with a focus on fast-paced, compassionate patient care and teamwork in a busy ED.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a veterinary assistant.
• Experience working with ImproMed software.

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming emergency patients and relay status to the veterinary team.
• Assist with treatments, diagnostics, and procedures; prepare patients for discharge.
• Admit hospitalized patients and maintain accurate documentation and communication.
• Support veterinarians and technicians with procedures, anesthesia, CPR, and patient stabilization.
• Provide compassionate client communication and discharge instructions.
