Job summary

PetVet Care Centers’ Cascade Veterinary Referral Center in Tigard, OR is seeking an Emergency Veterinary Assistant (Day Shift). The role supports veterinarians and technicians in daily tasks, including cleaning, feeding, restraining patients, preparing surgery suites, and performing clerical duties.

Grow with a compassionate team dedicated to exceptional patient care and client service. The position is full-time, day shift, with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts (weekends/holidays as needed).

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One or more years' experience in a veterinary environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and owners, take weight and vitals on arrival.
• Triage patients, assist with exams, treatments and medications as directed by LVTs.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of hospital equipment and facilities.
• Assist doctors and technicians with procedures and patient restraint.
• Perform lab tests and radiographs as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and proper documentation.
