Job summary

Midcoast Animal Emergency Clinic in Warren, Maine, is seeking a compassionate Emergency Veterinarian for a part-time associate role at our Rarebreed clinic. You’ll join a tight-knit team delivering high-quality emergency and urgent care to dogs and cats, with advanced equipment and strong referring relationships.

The position welcomes experienced ER doctors or GP veterinarians transitioning to emergency medicine.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree or equivalent required.
• Ability to attain ME Veterinary License.
• Internship training preferred but not required.
• 2+ years of experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose diseases and injuries of pets (primarily dogs and cats) and treat surgically or medically.
• Collaborate with referring veterinarians within our ecosystem.
• Participate in ongoing education, seminars and training.
• Advise animal owners about sanitary measures, feeding and general care.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Examine and diagnose diseases and injuries of pets (primarily dogs and cats), and treat surgically or medically
• Collaborate within our veterinary ecosystem, and communicate with referring veterinarians
• Participate in ongoing education, seminars, and training to stay at the top of your field
• Advise animal owners about sanitary measures, feeding, and general care to promote the health of animals

• Base salary ( $92,500 - $100,000) with production
• 401(k) with a total company matchup to 4%, after 6 months of employment

REQUIREMENTS

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree or equivalent degree required
• 2+ years of experience practicing veterinary medicine in a Veterinary Hospital setting is preferred
• Internship training is also preferred but not required
• Ability to attain ME Veterinary License
