Midcoast Animal Emergency Clinic in Warren, ME is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join our full-time overnight team. You’ll work with a tight-knit group delivering high-quality emergency and urgent care to pets while enjoying a balanced New England lifestyle.

Qualifications

• DVM degree required or equivalent.
• 2+ years of veterinary hospital experience preferred.
• Internship training preferred but not required.
• Ability to attain ME Veterinary License.

Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose diseases and injuries in pets; treat surgically or medically.
• Collaborate with referring veterinarians and the broader veterinary ecosystem.
• Participate in ongoing education, seminars, and training to stay current in the field.
• Advise owners on care, sanitation, feeding, and general pet health.

What You’ll Do

• Examine and diagnose diseases and injuries of pets (primarily dogs and cats), and treat surgically or medically
• Collaborate within our veterinary ecosystem, and communicate with referring veterinarians
• Participate in ongoing education, seminars, and training to stay at the top of your field
• Advise animal owners about sanitary measures, feeding, and general care to promote the health of animals

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree or equivalent degree required
• 2+ years of experience practicing veterinary medicine in a Veterinary Hospital setting is preferred
