Job summary

Global Talent Partners seeks an experienced Emergency Veterinarian in Santa Fe, NM to join a veterinarian-owned 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital. The role focuses on inpatient medicine, ICU care, and complex case management, with the opportunity to follow high-acuity patients from admission to discharge.

You'll work about 10 twelve-hour shifts per month in a fully collaborative environment with backups for anesthesia, critical care, and specialty teams.

Responsibilities

• Hospitalized and high-acuity patients
• Inpatient medicine
• Intensive care and ongoing patient management
• Complex medical cases
• Evidence-based treatment planning
• Continuous reassessment of hospitalized patients
• Diagnostic interpretation and treatment adjustments
• Coordination of care between ER and specialty teams
• Detailed case handovers
• Patient care from admission through discharge
• Collaboration with emergency clinicians
• Collaboration with critical care
• Collaboration with specialty teams
• Working closely with experienced veterinary technicians
• Client communication and treatment updates
• Mentoring and supporting newer clinicians
• Collaborative case discussion
