Job Description
Anne Arundel Veterinary Emergency Clinic (AAVEC), located in beautiful Annapolis, MD is seeking veterinarians passionate about working in emergency medicine for our 6-monthtraining and mentorship program. We are looking for individuals who are team oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable to train with us and transition into an ER position at our hospital.

AAVEC is a 24-hour emergency and critical care veterinary center in Annapolis, Maryland. With nearly 145 employees, including 18 full-time doctors, we are busier than ever! We share our hospital with board-certified specialists in Surgery, Canine Rehabilitation, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Neurology, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, and Radiation Oncology. Our spacious hospital features 8 surgical suites and 3 radiology suites, along with on-site CT, MRI, and underwater treadmill.

The Ethos ER Immerse Training Program
TheER Immerse Programwill prepare veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. Built from the ground up to be different than traditional rotating internship programs, the ERi program has been developed around a curriculum of core competencies essential for an emergency veterinarian. In addition to providing training around clinical knowledge and skills, the program also includes a focus on client and team member communication, professional skills, and life/work integration.
The ER Immerse program utilizes a hybrid training approach incorporating simulation-based didactic components into authentic training experiences with live patients. The curriculum is designed using an evidence-based strategy identifying competencies and skills deemed essential for a successful career as an emergency clinician.
Program Duration/Commitment
· 9-month training programbeginning June/ July 2025
· 1-year commitmentas an ER mentee/ associate veterinarian at AAVEC

Program Highlights
· Varied schedule with 3-day work weeks, rotating through day, swing, and overnight
· Additional surgical training offered, if desired
