OUR PRACTICE

At Capital Veterinary Specialists, you'll feel the warmth and openness of a unique clinic while having the opportunity to grow professionally. We are a specialty referral practice offering Surgery, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Canine Rehabilitation, and 24-hour Emergency Services. Our mission is to stay at the forefront of veterinary science and to provide compassionate, multidisciplinary specialist care. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build relationships with colleagues, clients, and support staff to foster a compassionate and collaborative work environment.
  • Encourage a learning environment for colleagues, support staff, and veterinary students visiting the hospital.
  • Manage triage and treatment plans for emergency patients.
  • Provide ongoing care for hospitalized specialty patients during overnight and weekend shifts.
  • Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with clients and support staff.
  • Coordinate with referral partners through verbal communication and referral letters.
  • Participate in morning rounds to collaborate with specialists on hospitalized patients.
  • Promote a positive and supportive work culture.
  • Support the hospital's Fear-Free initiative and commitment.
