Job summary

IndyVet Emergency and Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join a 24-hour, state-of-the-art facility. The role offers a rotating FT schedule with 9 consecutive days off each month, supporting a collaborative team across Internal Medicine, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Surgery, Critical Care, and Neurology.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
• Completion of a rotating internship or experience practicing emergency medicine is preferred.
• Confident in managing emergency cases in a fast-paced environment and making sound clinical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for urgent and emergent cases.
• Provide comprehensive emergency care through stabilizing patients and managing hospitalized cases.
• Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful situations.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration and continuous learning.
