Job summary

VCA Seaside Animal Hospital in Lawrence, MA is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian for a full-time role with a ProSal starting at $160,000+ base and production earning potential over $200,000. The schedule includes rotating shifts up to 14 per month and about 35 hours per week.

The practice offers a comprehensive 24/7 service with a wide range of specialties and a collaborative team focused on excellence in patient care and client service.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
• Internship-trained and/or at least 2 years of clinical emergency experience.
• Experience in soft tissue emergency surgeries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for urgent medical conditions.
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill patients using evidence-based medicine.
• Potentially perform soft-tissue emergency surgeries.
• Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to ensure compassionate patient care.
• Communicate clearly with pet owners during stressful situations.
