Qualifications

• DVM degree and NC license required or eligibility
• Emergency experience or rotating internship preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Practice emergency veterinary medicine independently and with the team
• Develop and communicate diagnostic and treatment plans for inpatients and outpatients
• Manage hospitalized patients collaboratively
• Perform emergency soft tissue surgery (e.g., abdominal explorations, splenectomy)
• Maintain medical records for continuity of care
• Rotate between day and overnight shifts with flexibility
