Job summary

Animal Emergency Center Yorktown is seeking an experienced emergency veterinarian to join our dedicated team in Yorktown, VA. The ideal candidate will be available for night and weekend shifts, with weekday hours from 5:30pm to 8am.

Both day and overnight weekend shifts are offered to ensure coverage and support. We provide advanced emergency care for small animals and some exotics, with laser therapy, hospitalization, Abaxis blood work, and dedicated surgical suites.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
• Current DEA License or obtained upon hire.
• Active Veterinary State License.
• USDA Accreditation or obtained upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency veterinary care during nights and weekends.
• Collaborate with a tight-knit team to deliver top-tier emergency services.
• Utilize hospital resources (imaging, in-house lab, anesthesia) to diagnose and treat patients.
• Assist and mentor team members to ensure balanced and supportive care.
