Royal Vista Veterinary Specialists, part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare family in Windsor, Colorado, seeks a Full-Time Emergency Veterinarian to join our dynamic ER team. You will provide emergency care for sick and injured patients, manage hospitalized cases, and collaborate with technicians to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required.
• State Veterinary Board License: Active in the state of intended employment
• State Veterinary Board License: Obtained prior to start date
• Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible
• Experience in emergency medicine or completion of small animal rotating or emergency internships is highly recommended

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care for sick and injured patients and manage hospitalized cases.
• Assess and diagnose patients and develop and oversee treatment plans.
• Partner with technicians to ensure high-quality execution of care.
• Perform surgeries and deliver critical care in the emergency department.

You’ll provide emergency care for sick and injured patients while also managing hospitalized cases. You’ll assess and diagnose patients, develop and oversee treatment plans, and partner closely with technicians to ensure high-quality execution of care. Your work will include performing surgeries, delivering critical care, and maintaining an exceptional standard of service for every patient who enters our emergency department.

We offer state‑of‑the‑art diagnostics and treatment capabilities, including fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, endoscopy, laparoscopy, and high‑flow oxygen therapy, along with recently renovated client spaces and expanded exam room capacity.

You’ll work alongside a strong, fully staffed ER team with a 2:1 technician‑to‑doctor ratio, supported by experienced specialists and sister hospitals throughout the region. Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an annual PROSAL full‑time range starting at $140,000- $150,000/year. The actual salary offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
